I am a writer, an educator, and passionate learner. Married for 30 years, I am also the mother of three grown children. I have been an instructor for 16 years. I graduated from UIW when it was "The College," and I love teaching at my alma mater. UIW is a special place with an important mission, and I am fortunate to be a part of the UIW community.

  • 2005-10 Non-Tenure Track Professor, University of Texas at San Antonio Department of English: Multiethnic Literature of the United States; Literary Criticism and Analysis; Mexican-American Literature; Introduction to Literature; American Literature, 1870–1945 and American Literature II, 1865 to the present.
