I have been actively involved in the teaching of Spanish at all levels, middle school, high school, junior college, and the university level for 46 years. Spring 2021 will be the beginning of my sixth year at UIW, since retiring from the Texas Public School system in 2014. I was given at fellowship to the University of Colorado at Boulder after earning my Master's degree. After one year, I decided to return to Texas and continue my Ph.D. studies by commuting to UT-Austin during the evenings after working full time in the public school system. I became an Adjunct Professor at U.T.S.A and decided that this was very fulfilling in meeting my needs to teach at the university level in Texas. When the Part- Time jobs for Adjunct Professors in Spanish were diminished at U.T.S.A., I went to the Alamo College District and continued to teach Spanish there for 5 years. I helped in bringing the Dual Credit Spanish Program to Tom C. Clark High School in 2003 through Dr. Manzo with the Alamo College district. I taught this course at Clark from 2004 - 2014. I am thoroughly enjoying teaching at the University of the Incarnate Word.
