Mark W. Hill

Mark Hill is from Tennessee, where he earned his B.S. in Music Education from Tennessee Tech University. He received his master’s degree from the University of North Texas and served as a band director in Texas for three years before completing a twenty-one year career in the Air Force Band program. As a member of the AF Band of Flight, the CinCSouth NATO Band, and the AF Band of the West, he performed in the United States, Canada, South America and Europe for state dignitaries, musical conventions and for general audiences. After retiring from the Air Force Band of the West, he became an active performer in and around San Antonio. He has played with San Antonio’s top jazz and commercial groups, performed frequently at the Majestic Theater for touring artists and Broadway shows. Since 2005 he has taught public school music, served as a clinician in the area and is an adjunct professor of music at UIW.
