Yvonne Lozano, PhD., LMFT Is a Gerontologist with over 18 years of experience in the field of Gerontology, and a focus on Geriatric Mental Health, Caregiver Support, and Elder Abuse. She is devoted to her academic career and seeks opportunities to support organizations who work with caregivers. Dr. Lozano brings both expertise in the field of aging and “real-life” humor to her presentations. She is a member of the Gerontology Society of America, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapist, National Association of Social Workers, American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education, and Sigma Phi Omega. Her research interest includes; Caregiver stress, Latino/caregiver issues, Managing Difficult Behaviors in Dementia, and Domestic Violence in Older Adults.
