
Josué J. Mora (San Antonio, Texas) is a multi-woodwind instrumentalist and educator. He teaches saxophone at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and maintains an active woodwind studio of 40+ students. His students have received superior recognition through the Texas Music Educators All-State process, the Houston Underground Saxophone Competition, and local Solo Competitions.
Mora has performed in orchestras, wind ensembles, chamber ensembles and musical theater productions on multiple woodwind instruments since 2011. In 2015, through the coaching of Otis Murphy at Indiana University, Mora and his Saxophone Quartet (Melos) were National Chamber Music Finalists at the Music Teachers National Association Conference
Mora is a Presser Foundation Scholar and has received multiple awards and recognitions, including the Luminaria Artist Foundation Professional Development Award.
Mora founded JM Woodwinds in 2020. His wife, Julia Donnel-Mora, joined JM Woodwinds in 2025. They got married in 2025. Mora enjoys spending time with his wife, having culinary adventures, and really enjoys a good cup of coffee in the morning.
