Dr. Bassig is a Soprano based in San Antonio, Texas. She is known for her authentic storytelling and versatility in both Musical Theatre and Opera. She has recently performed the role of Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime as the opening show in Wonder Theatre's inaugural 2023 season. She has previously attended multiple programs in New York City such as: Ryan Scott Oliver & Lindsey Mendez Actor Therapy where she made her 54 and Below debut and Manhattan Opera Studio where she performed in Die Zauberflöte (Second Lady) and Le Nozze di Figaro (Susanna cover) as well as made her Carnegie Hall debut.

Other recent credits include: Rita/Dance Captain (White Christmas), Tricia/Swing (A Chorus Line), Atina (The Little Mermaid), Marian Paroo (The Music Man), The Tender Land (Laurie), The Old Maid and the Thief (Laetitia), A Christmas Carol the Musical (Emily), Oklahoma! (Kate/Laurey u/s) and Cendrillon (Maguelonne study-cover). Her calendar included The Light in the Piazza (Clara cover) but was cancelled due to COVID-19. She has a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The University of Texas at San Antonio (2016), a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The University of Texas at Austin (2018) and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from The University of Texas at Austin in Vocal performance and Vocal Pedagogy (2020).
