Día de los Muertos
Each year, the University of the Incarnate Word community gathers to observe the sacred intersection of All Saints’ Day, All Souls’ Day, and Día de los Muertos. These traditions provide a profound opportunity to honor the lives of deceased loved during the celebration that defines our faith, from the recognized saints of the Catholic Church to the beloved family, friends and CCVI Sisters who have entered eternal rest.
By blending solemn liturgical prayer with the vibrant cultural heritage of the Day of the Dead, we create a space to celebrate the enduring gift of life. This season of remembrance serves as a powerful reminder that we remain united with our departed loved ones in spirit, anchored by our shared hope and the lasting legacy of the Incarnate Word.
