UIW Cardinal SOAR Health Professions Transfer Program
The program invites exceptionally qualified UIW transfer students to a Direct Admit option, which can potentially lead to a Health Profession program. Learn More About Cardinal SOAR.
Transfer students pursuing their first undergraduate degree and who have completed at least 24 credit hours at an accredited university are automatically considered for academic scholarships during the application process.
Presidential Scholarship
$18,000
Dean's Scholarship
$16,000
Distinguished Scholarship
$13,000
Each Phi Theta Kappa member from an accredited 2-year institution will be awarded $2,000 per year.
Students pursuing their first bachelor's degree who have completed their most recent 24 credit hours at Alamo Colleges with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher will receive a $2,000 annual award on top of any other transfer academic scholarships.
The primary factor for transfer admissions is the student's cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA). A minimum of a 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) is required for unconditional admission. However, a 2.5 GPA does not guarantee admission into all UIW programs. Students with a GPA lower than 2.5 may be admitted at the discretion of the Admissions Committee.
Applications are accepted throughout the year for all academic terms. The application process should be completed on time to allow sufficient time for processing.
Note: If you are an international student transferring from a U.S. institution, you are still considered an international student. Click here to learn more about the international student application.
