Transfer Admissions

The Office of Admissions will keep reviewing applications, processing documents and releasing decisions. We can’t wait to meet our newest Cardinals this fall!

Factors for Admissions Consideration

A primary factor for transfer admissions is the student's cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA). A minimum of a of 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) is required for unconditional admission. However, a 2.5 GPA does not guarantee admissions into all UIW programs. Students with a GPA lower than 2.5 may be admitted at the discretion of the Admissions Committee. The Committee reserves the right to place additional conditions or requirements upon the acceptance of such a student.

Additional factors considered for admission may include, but are not limited to: letters of recommendation, personal statements, interview(s), extracurricular activities, and previous work experience. Applications are accepted throughout the year for all academic terms. The application process should be completed in a timely manner to allow sufficient time for processing.

Transfer Application Process

Submit an Application

Create a GoUIW account to submit an application and maintain your file with UIW. After you have applied, check your application status here.

Submit Transcripts

Submit official transcripts from each institution attended. Students with fewer than 24 college credit hours are also required to submit an official high school transcript (with SAT or ACT scores) or official GED scores. If you are unable to get a PDF copy of your transcripts at the moment, our admissions counselors are here to help. Please contact the Office of Admissions at (210) 829-6005.

Submit Letters of Recommendation (Optional)

Letters of recommendation are suggested, but not required, for a decision.
