Dr. J.T. Norris, CPA, CGMA, is the Director of the Master of Science in Accounting degree program. Educated at Virginia Tech University with a major in accounting, Dr. Norris began his accounting career with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co., followed by 25 years in the aerospace industry as an Assistant Controller, Controller, Director of Finance, and Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Norris taught accounting for three years at the UIW's campus in Guangzhou, China. Dr. Norris' Ph.D. is from Capella University, with a specialization in Accounting.

Dr. Tracie Edmond, CPA, earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Tech University and her MBA with a tax concentration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Edmond's Ph.D. is from Capella University, with a specialization in Non-Profit Management. Dr. Edmond has worked in several sectors, from the government to corporate, including tax work at Ernst and Young, AT&T and Valero. Tracie serves on numerous nonprofit boards as treasurer. Dr. Edmond was named the TSCPA Outstanding Teacher of the Year in 2010.

Dr. Theresa Tiggeman, CPA, is professor of accounting the and accounting internship director. She has received many teaching and service awards, including the Zlotkowski Service-Learning Award, the UIW Presidential Teaching Award, and the CCVI Award for service. She has been involved with the Volunteers in Income Tax Program for many years. Theresa was the TSCPA Outstanding Teacher of the Year in 2004. She has an MBA from UIW, and a master's in urban planning from Texas A&M. She earned her Ph.D. in Advanced Accounting from Northcentral University.

Kelly Pittman, CPA holds a master's in finance and a bachelor's in accounting, from Texas A&M University. Kelly's public experience was with Ernst & Young, where she was in auditing. She has taught auditing and other courses at UIW since 2008.

Dr. April Poe, CPA, has taught at Texas Lutheran, as well as UIW and UTSA. A UIW alumna, April has an MPA degree from the University of Texas and a PhD in Business, emphasis in accounting, from the University of Texas at San Antonio. April previously worked for both public accounting firms and large corporations. She is an assistant professor of accounting.

Dr. Trish Driskill, CPA, has taught at UIW since the fall of 2016. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with concentration in Advanced Accounting from Northcentral University in Arizona. She earned an MSA and BBA in Accounting with emphasis in Audit/Financial Reporting from Texas Tech University. Dr. Driskill previously taught at Southwest Texas Junior College and worked in audit at Ernst & Young in Dallas.
