Financial Aid at a Glance

The Office of Financial Assistance is currently processing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2022-2023 year (Summer 2022, Fall 2022 and Spring 2023). Main campus undergraduate students taking summer courses can request federal funds using the summer financial aid process.

We provide virtual counseling and have resources for students to access aid information online through our Contact Us/Virtual Counseling page, which lists FAQs and includes self-service options to complete tasks remotely.

Advisors are available in office, by email at or telephone at (210) 829-6008 during office hours. Zoom appointments are also available by request.

Federal Loan Forgiveness Updates

The loan debt relief application has official launched! Apply online through a short application. You will receive a confirmation email after submitting the application. Timelines have not yet been published for when you will be asked for any additional information, or when your forgiveness will be processed, if you are eligible. Once you've submitted your application, be on the lookout for emails from the Dept. of Education notifying you of any additional documentation required in order to process your application.

Use the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to apply for financial aid (grants, work-study, and loans) to pay for college. You (and your parent, if dependent) will need to create an FSA ID before starting the process. Applications for the following year open October 1.
