Employee Retreats

Administrative Assistants Retreats

Semi-annual administrative assistants are invited to participate in a retreat that focuses on mission, identity, prayer, Scripture. The retreats provide opportunities for members of the community to grow spiritually, to build community, and to provide encouragement and support for each other as they present the University of the Incarnate Word to internal and external audiences.

Coaches' Retreat

Annually the coaches gather to reflect on their journey in living out the mission, values, and identity of the University of the Incarnate Word. In addition, the coaches appreciate the opportunity to share their journey, perspectives, and insights in working with student athletes as they form, shape, develop, and mentor young men and women as the leaders of tomorrow through collaboration, service, and selflessness.

Gruene Retreat

This is a retreat designed for faculty and upper level administrators. The goal of the retreat is to engage participants and to encourage the assumption of leadership of the Mission of the University of the Incarnate Word by making visible and tangible the presence of God in all encounters. The retreat helps build community across the different schools of the university, thereby enhancing interdisciplinary dialogue and sharing.

Heritage Retreat

The Office of Mission Effectiveness in collaboration with the CCVI department of Spirituality in Ministry (a new joint ministry of the San Antonio and Houston CCVI's) offers a Heritage Pilgrimage to Houston-Galveston. Participants are housed at Villa de Matel, attend a workshop on the UIW Mission in the 21st century, and tour and spend time in prayer at the founding sites in Galveston.

Located at a beautiful site in the Texas Hill Country, SALVE provides the ideal get-away to help you pursue a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and, together with others, spread His joy to the world.
