Determine your eligibility and benefit type with the Department of Veterans Affairs
Apply online at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs website or by calling 1-888-GIBILL-1 (1-888-442-4551).
Ensure all required documents for your benefit type are submitted to the UIW Military and Veteran Center. Drop offs or via e-mail ( veterans@uiwtx.edu) are welcome.
Hazlewood Act Notice: The Texas Hazlewood Act Exemption applies only to Texas public institutions and cannot be used at UIW. However, UIW fully accepts federal VA education benefits.
