The Theology of Voting: A Call to Latino(a) Voters

Virtual Event | 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Mission & Ministry’s Office of DEI will partner with NETWORK, a lobby for Catholic social justice, to present an online workshop that focuses on the connection between our Catholic faith and the sacred right and responsibility to vote. Pope Francis, the first Latino Pope, has provided explicit instruction on the many ways we are called to defend, promote, and protect the sacredness of life. Latino(a) voters will be a major force in the outcome of the 2024 elections.

What are the important issues for Hispanics and what does faith have to say about voting? This workshop will help voting-aged Latina(o)s and all interested individuals connect to the deep history of Catholic Social Justice Teaching and equip them to build a just society for all through their voice and their vote. The workshop will be held on zoom from 10:00 am to 12 p.m. on Friday, October 4. The workshop will be held on TEAMS from 10:00 am to 12 p.m. on Friday, October 4.
