FAQ

Yes. As soon as the student’s program is confirmed, please send us the student’s full flight details including date, time of arrival, flight number, airline departure airport and ALL connections. UIW will send you an airport confirmation. We ask that you check the details and advise us immediately of any changes in the student’s flight. It is also important that we be informed if your child is traveling as an unaccompanied minor.

Students should look for a staff member holding a sign that reads “UIW”, along with the name of the program. UIW staff will wear red t-shirts (and/or baseball hats) that are clearly marked “UIW”.

This information is updated each year, so we ask that you please contact the airline the child will be using. In addition, certain countries require children leaving that country without both parents or a legal guardian to have a letter of consent, in some cases notarized. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to find out the travel rules for unaccompanied minors. UIW will not be responsible for denied entry into the country.

Call the UIW International Student coordinator indicated in the welcome materials or call (210) 805-5704 from inside the USA.

Please refer to the current year’s application or contact UIW Programs. It is important that your child arrive to the correct airport so that UIW Staff members can promptly meet him or her.

Registration for drop-off students is from 14:00 to 18:00. Please plan to arrive during the registration period so we can be sure to have staff available to greet you.
