The University of the Incarnate Word recognizes the Greek Letter Community as an integral part of the institution’s educational mission. Greek organizations and UIW share the responsibility of cultivating an environment which enriches the college experience while meeting the core values of the mission (Faith, Service, Innovation, Truth, Education).
The Greek Cardinal Principles were created to illustrate the successes of individual chapters. The GCPs add an additional level of commitment from both the Greek life community and the office of Campus Engagement. The principles will not only serve as benchmarks of accomplishment for the chapters but will also assist in the development of any organization that has not achieved those principles.
