UIW is one of just 49 schools nationwide to make the list.

UIW is proud of the fact that 28% of our undergraduate and graduate students are military affiliated. UIW is also a Yellow Ribbon School. The Yellow Ribbon Program is a provision of the Post-9/11 GI Bill® that can help students attend private schools at little or no cost to themselves. The University houses a fully-staffed on-campus Military and Veterans Center with dedicated student lounge where they assist UIW students using educational benefits under Department of Veterans Affairs, Educational Assistance Programs and Department of Defense Tuition Assistance in the pursuit of their educational goals.

Intelligent.com compiled a comprehensive research guide based on an assessment of 151 accredited colleges and universities in the nation. Each program was evaluated based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation and post-graduate employment. The 2021 list was calculated through a unique scoring system which includes student engagement, potential return on investment and leading third-party evaluations.

“UIW is honored to be recognized for our hard work by Intelligent.com,” says UIW Senior Director for Military and Veterans Affairs and retired Navy Commander Jonathan Lovejoy. “This honor reflects UIW’s strategic priority of being a premiere provider of educational services to military affiliated families around the globe. There is a reason San Antonio is known as Military City, U.S.A. and we are proud to be a vital part of continuing that legacy.”
