San Antonio – Fashion students from the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) will put a bow on San Antonio’s city-wide party with a purpose with their annual flourish of fashion at the 39th annual Cutting Edge Fiesta Fashion on Monday, April 29th at 7pm. For the first time, the popular event will be held at the McNay Art Museum (6000 N. New Braunfels Ave.).
The mesmerizing event has become a Fiesta favorite, but what audiences of the one-night-only show do not see is the year-long effort of UIW fashion design, fashion production and product development teams undertake to make this night happen.
Fashion design students developed their collections over months and with insights provided by faculty and industry professionals. The production teams manage every aspect of the evening’s offerings from the model lineup to the music to the show’s photography. It all requires months of hard work and years of preparation and education. See their creations at this year’s show and support the students’ dreams of working in fashion and design.
Proceeds from the event benefit UIW fashion student scholarships. General admission tickets are $25 and VIP seating is available for $65. For tickets and more information visit cuttingedge-sa.com or call (210) 832-3219.
