San Antonio Council for International Visitors

San Antonio – The University of the Incarnate Word is proud to be honored by the San Antonio Council for International Visitors (SACIV) for its continued support of the organization and its mission. SACIV’s 28th annual anniversary dinner is set for 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25 in the McCombs Center Rosenberg Sky Room.

UIW Vice President for International Affairs, Marcos Fragoso, will also be honored at the event as the recipient of the 2017 International Leadership Award. Fragoso will be recognized for his work to promote citizen diplomacy in San Antonio and the surrounding community.

The Consul General of Mexico in San Antonio, Ambassador Reyna Torres Mendivil will deliver the keynote address and will speak to the confluence of cultures that is San Antonio.

Founded in 1989, the San Antonio Council for International Visitors (SACIV) facilitates short-term professional exchanges for emerging distinguished international leaders, selected by the US Department of State for the purpose of advancing US foreign policy goals and increasing mutual understanding.
