UIW to Host Cardinal Wellness Center Open House

San Antonio – The University of the Incarnate Word’s (UIW) Ila Faye Miller School of Nursing will host an open house for the community, Wednesday Feb. 3, 2016 from 11 a.m., to 1:30 p.m. at UIW’s Bowden Eye Care and Health Center (2547 E. Commerce St., 78203).

The UIW Nursing Cardinal Wellness Center open house is an opportunity for the community to become familiar with the services offered at the center. Through the children’s Texas Medicaid and CHIP programs, UIW will offer Texas Health Steps, children’s vaccines as well as vision and hearing screenings.

“We are very excited to be able to offer child wellness services to this area of San Antonio. There is such a need in the community for routine checkups and immunizations,” said UIW Clinic Coordinator, Dr. Holly DiLeo. “We hope to become an integral part of the health and wellness of San Antonio’s children.”
