San Antonio – The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) is proud to present the 13th Annual Red Dress Fashion Show & Health Fair, Tuesday, Feb. 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the McCombs Center Rosenberg Sky Room. (Visit www.uiw.edu/map for location.)
This annual event brings awareness to female cardiac health and features one-of-a-kind dress designs by UIW fashion students. The health fair will exhibit over 20 health and lifestyle vendors. Guests will be able to check their blood pressures, glucose levels and receive vision screenings. Students from UIW’s professional programs will also be present to offer information on the importance of maintaining a heart healthy lifestyle.
Guests will have the chance to shop for unique gifts for your special valentine. Representatives from Women’s Global Connection, Scentsy, Jamberry Nails, Zelime Matthews jewelry and the UIW Bookstore are just a few of the 2016 vendors. You also will have the opportunity to purchase scarves hand-dyed by UIW fashion students and faculty sold to benefit the annual event. Scarves start at $20.
The annual Red Dress Event is held each year in support of the American Heart Association and their Go Red campaign during February which is National Heart Month. The event is free and open to the public. For more information visit www.uiw.edu.
