San Antonio – The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) has set another enrollment record. The university’s global enrollment reached 10,984 students, a 10.5 percent increase from last year. The enrollment has now increased 29 out of the last 30 years, and has nearly tripled from the year 2000.
“Our enrollment growth reflects the breadth and quality of UIW’s academic programs,” said UIW President Dr. Lou Agnese. “Just as important, the enrollment continues to be representative of the racial and ethnic diversity of Texas.”
UIW has grown from the 19th largest private university in Texas in 1985 to the fourth largest today. UIW now offers 80 undergraduate, graduate and professional programs, an increase from the 56 that were offered in 1985.
