Ettling Center Global Health Missions

The Ettling Center for Civic Leadership assists, supports and facilitates many of the institution’s global health missions through the strategic internationalization of programs, analysis and research. The Center supports global health mission initiatives which foster cross-unit collaboration, inter-professional/interdisciplinary health professional partnerships, promotes cultural sensitivity and awareness, advocates social justice, and promotes civic responsibility and engagement.

In an effort to continue in the footsteps of the first three Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word who founded the University of the Incarnate Word in 1881, the Ettling Center focuses its Global Health Missions on improving the health and education of the local community in:

  • Mexico
  • Peru
  • India
  • Zambia
