UIW Language and Culture Summer Camp

The annual University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) Language and Culture Camp is a two-week program in July open to 12-17 year old international students interested in improving their English skills, gaining study abroad experience in the USA and meeting new friends from all over the world! Students attend English classes each morning Monday through Friday, with excursions in the afternoons and on weekends. Students stay on the UIW campus in dormitory accommodations. Meals, insurance, excursions, English lessons and accommodations are included in one affordable price.

Every Language and Culture camper will be able to achieve the following:

  • English language growth through daily interaction with experienced faculty and staff
  • An opportunity to establish friendships with other international campers
  • Exploration and activities throughout the diverse San Antonio community

Highlights during the week include:

  • Daily Language Instruction - English as a Second Language (ESL) accredited faculty members from across the state will oversee and instruct our students as they improve their speaking, reading and writing skills.
  • Daily Excursions and Activities - Students will have the opportunity to take their English skills and put them into practice with our daily activities and excursions throughout San Antonio.

Interested in bringing a larger group? Groups of 10 or more can bring a chaperone for free.
