UIW Homecoming Festivities Officially Commence
UIW Homecoming 2021 officially kicked off on Thursday night with Homecoming Thirsty Thursday. Alumni and Cardinal families reconnected outside on the patio of Coates Theatre to remember their time spent at UIW. On Friday, all were invited to a Women of Faith Luncheon to celebrate the history of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word and their legacy. This event featured guest speaker Sr. Michele O'Brien, CCVI. Check out next week's newsletter for a full Homecoming week recap!

50th Reunion Coffee Klatch and Campus Tour | Oct. 30, 10 a.m.
This is a Class of 1970 and 1971 exclusive! Alumni are invited to sit back and relax with a cup of coffee from Finnegan's Coffee Shop before going on a golf cart tour around main campus.
RedZone Cardinal Tailgate and Game | Oct. 30, Noon
Come out and enjoy a tailgate, Cardinal Style, as UIW prepares to take down the Houston Baptist Huskies! The RedZone Cardinal Tailgate is the official gathering spot for UIW alumni before the game! Following the tailgate, alumni are invited to participate in the Flight of the Cardinal and join the procession into Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium with the Marching Cardinals and UIW Spirit.
Homecoming Game | Oct. 30, 3 p.m.
Be there to support the Cardinals as they take on HBU! Game tickets are still available at Cardinals Ticket Central. Use discount code "Alumni 2021" for half-price tickets! UIW Athletics alumni are then invited to the field at halftime for a special recognition.
50th Reunion Wine and Charcuterie Golden Hour | Oct. 30, 7 p.m.
Members of the classes of 1970 and 1971 are invited to an exclusive Happy Hour at High Street Wine Co. located at The Pearl Brewery. Reminisce about your Incarnate Word days while enjoying a beautiful spot near downtown San Antonio.
Homecoming Memorial Mass | Oct. 31, 11 a.m.
The annual Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady's Chapel and via Zoom to remember those who have touched our lives.
Golden Word Homecoming Brunch | Oct. 31, 1 p.m.
As Homecoming weekend comes to a close, we invite everyone to join us for a delicious champagne brunch in the Student Engagement Center Ballroom.
