Business students have a range of activities outside of the classroom that will supplement their in-class learning, provide them the chance to hone their marketing, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and promote personal growth and development.
Many of our students have traveled or studied abroad and all of our students are encouraged to take leadership positions in various student organizations such as the Business Club, the Accounting Society, Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society, and various fraternities and sororities. Participation in these organizations is strongly encouraged.

The Accounting Society provides students the opportunity to meet professionals working in the field of accounting and to develop relationships with the faculty at UIW and fellow accounting students. The club provides various networking opportunities during the year for students. These networking opportunities give students a chance to apply for internships with various employers.
The Business Club welcomes students and faculty of all majors and departments. Students may be of any classification, including undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, alumni and community members are also welcome to join.
The Business Club holds regular meetings, often hosting members of the local business community to engage with students. The club offers several career buildings events and opportunities throughout the year, as well as community service opportunities.
Delta Mu Delta is a business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students. The DMD community seeks to foster the well-being of its individual members and the business community through life-time membership. Students are invited to join Delta Mu Delta based on their academic success. Members are honored each year at a ceremony.
