The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in International Business at the H-E-B School of Business and Administration is designed to ready the next generation of global business leaders. Courses provide a broad analysis of business opportunities abroad, as well as political climates, trade barriers, government incentives and trade practices.
Why International Business?
An International Business degree provides a strong foundation the many aspects of international business, such as economics, law, management, marketing and more. It also provides tools for applying this knowledge to the real world. Opportunities for International Business graduates exist in a variety of areas such as government agencies, market research, international marketing and sales, consulting, international entrepreneurship, and nonprofit organizations.
The International Business BBA concentration also emphasizes ethics and the role of responsible businesses and professionals in the global marketplace. International Business majors also examine business and industry outside of the United States through a study abroad experience.
International Business Curriculum
The BBA in International Business is a 120-hour program that emphasizes the changing world of global business.
Students enrolled in the International Business concentration, other than international students who attend UIW on a student visa, are required to participate in a short-term study abroad program for at least one week or a semester-long study abroad program. Students may study abroad as soon as their second semester in their sophomore year.
Professionals with a BBA in International Business have a wide variety of career paths from which to choose. With a deep understanding of the issues affecting the global marketplace and first-hand cross-cultural experience, graduates of this program have a unique mix of skills that make them excellent candidates for career success, here and abroad.
