The University of the Incarnate Word - American Marketing Association (UIW-AMA) was established in the Fall of 2017 by students from various disciples passionate about marketing thought and practice.
AMA is a group of like-minded students who are interested in creating networking opportunities with marketing professionals at the local and national level. The organization provides hands-on opportunities to practice marketing skills and positions students as valuable assets to employers prior to graduation.
To instill and develop leadership, organizational and communication skills to its currently enrolled members.
To help members develop their professional network.
To help members develop and enhance professional marketing skills applicable to their careers.
To create opportunities to conduct scientific study and research in the field of business.
To promote friendly relations between students, faculty and the surrounding community.
To qualify for AMA membership students must be a registered undergraduate student, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and pay the dues to the AMA national organization and UIW-AMA. Please contact Dr. Roberto Saldivar with any questions about the membership process.
Then select the “Student” membership option at the bottom of the list. During the registration process, you can also register with the local San Antonio AMA Chapter. The cost to register is $50 paid directly to AMA, no refunds will be given.
Once you register with the AMA national organization, send an email to email@example.com with the subject title of “UIW-AMA Application - Your Name." Be sure to include the following information:
AMA Member ID (From the AMA National Website)
UIW Student ID (this is used to verify GPA and only faculty advisor will view this information)
There is an additional $10 fee that will go directly to the UIW-AMA organization to fund various projects, no refunds will be given.
