Karla Friesenhahn

Lecturer Fashion Management Office Location: JB210
I am a recently retired Family & Consumer Sciences teacher and am ready for the next chapter of my life as an adjunct instructor at UIW in the Fashion Management department. Sewing has always been part of my life. My first sewing experiences were on my mother's machine making accessories for my dolls and pets. My sewing skills grew in my 9 years in the Clothing & Textiles project as a member of the Texas 4-H program. The first 19 years of my career were spent working for the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service as a county Extension agent and 4-H Specialist. The past 9 years I taught Fashion Design and Family and Consumer Sciences classes at Byron P. Steele II High School in Cibolo, Texas.
I graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Sciences (Family & Consumer Sciences) with Teacher Certification.
