Read reactions from some of the students below.

"The scholarship will definitely help alleviate the financial burden that comes with pursuing a higher education. However, this scholarship was very personal for me and my family. We have gone to several years of Alamo Bowl games and have seen some great history occur. From watching Mack Brown coach his last UT-Austin game to losing my voice in the triple overtime game victory of TCU. Football is a major sport in our home and it was a pretty surreal experience to be able to attend an official Valero Alamo Bowl event: Rudy's BBQ Pigskin Preview. It was an amazing experience to be able to listen to the panel of experts and be in a room filled with professionals and sponsors of the event. Truly a great experience." - Lawson Picasso

"This scholarship means a monumental amount to my degree and future, simply for allowing me the peace of mind knowing my academic expenses will be covered. This allows me to focus all my attention towards my education, and prospering my opportunities by filling time with internships rather than work as much. This builds my future in a multitude of ways." - Daniel Mata

"I believe the Valero Alamo Bowl Scholarship goes to show hard work can pay off. The scholarship enlightened me how generous Valero is towards education. For my years that come ahead, I will look back on how impactful Valero was to my community." - Frank Rivera

The H-E-B School of Business and Administration congratulates these students on the much-deserved honor.
