Students complete summer Capstone projects

June 18, 2016

Each semester, students at the H-E-B School of Business and Administration join together in teams for an all-encompassing Capstone project in which they are paired with real-world clients to complete a task.

The summer session is no different as students nearing the completion of their degrees use the skills they have learned throughout their time at University of the Incarnate Word to complete the task at hand.

The summer 2016 undergraduate Capstone students worked with the following companies and nonprofits in the San Antonio area.

  • Popcorn Friday – Students developed marketing strategies for the Bulverde-based gourmet popcorn company.
  • Visitation House – Students worked with the nonprofit to help celebrate its 10-year anniversary.
  • Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC) – Students worked on a signage project.
  • St. Gregory’s Catholic School – Students helped the Catholic K-8 school to increase its admissions.
  • Eva’s Heroes – Students helped the nonprofit with the planning of a fundraising event.
  • Hyperloop One - Students developed a plan for a domestic route for this technology startup transportation company.

The graduate Capstone students worked with the following companies and nonprofits:

  • Hyperloop One – Students developed a plan for an international route for this technology startup transportation company.
  • Texas Health & Science University – Students worked with the acupuncture school on the UIW PT campus to help recruit students.
