Julian Davis, Ph.D.

Professor

Dr. Davis earned a BS in chemistry with honors from North Carolina State University as a well as a MA and PhD from the University of Texas at Austin.  After working briefly as a Research Scientist for Texas Fluorescence (TefLabs) he served as a Teaching Post-Doctoral Associate at St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX.  Dr. Davis joined the UIW faculty in 2006.

Dr. Davis’s current research is focused on expanding the knowledge base of effective practices for supporting students who are pursuing degrees in chemistry and biochemistry, especially those that are academically promising and financially needy, through graduation and into either graduate programs or rewarding careers in STEM fields.
