Cheer, Wave and Show Your Signs for Dr. Sharon Herbers’s Retirement Parade

Join the Dreeben School of Education as we celebrate Dr. Sharon Herbers's retirement on Friday, September 10 at 4 p.m. located on the UIW main campus. The parade will start in front of the Nursing Building, proceed to the front of the Fine Arts building, then to the front of the Joyce Building and finish in front of the Student Engagement Center. For over 15 years, Dr. Herbers served the university as a faculty member teaching courses in adult learning, program development, educational gerontology, reflective practice, college environments and women’s leadership in the civil rights movement. She received her official title of professor emerita working in the Graduate Studies Department. Her honors and awards include the 2015 UIW nominee for the Minnie Stevens Piper Award, 2016 Mission Continues Award, 2016-2017 Sr. Margaret Rose Palmer Award for Education and 2018-2019 UIW Moody Professor Award.
