Faculty member appointed to The Nation’s Health Advisory Committee

Dr. Ashley S. LoveAshley S. Love, DrPH, MPH, MS, CPH, associate professor of education in the Graduate Studies Program, has been appointed to serve on The Nation’s Health Advisory Committee at the American Public Health Association (APHA).

The committee advises The Nation’s Health news editorial staff on the latest public health issues and policies. The seven-person group is selected by the APHA Executive Board to include members with a broad knowledge of public health to ensure a balanced representation of the various disciplines involved in public health.

Dr. Love is featured in this month of The Nation’s Health for conducting national online events to assist public health professionals in developing their online profiles and improving their career opportunities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Love, a multi-disciplinary public health professional with extensive experience in health education, program design, management, and evaluation across public, governmental, and academic sectors, is certified in public health through the National Board of Public Health Examiners in the United States. She served as the State Epidemiologist of Delaware and managed the H1N1 pandemic in 2009.

Additionally, she was a National Institute Aging Summer Fellow and is currently active in national professional and academic organizations. Dr. Love is also an active duty Air Force military spouse. Dr. Love joined the Dreeben School of Education in the Fall of 2020.
