International Affairs

Welcome to the International Affairs concentration at the University of the Incarnate Word. This interdisciplinary concentration helps students understand the nature of statecraft in the global arena, as well as their own place in the complex, perpetually shifting landscape of international politics.

The International Affairs concentration in the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS) at the University of the Incarnate Word is designed to provide students with a strong foundation to expand awareness and understanding of the complex world and promotion of responsible development, peace and justice. An appreciation of others' values and institutions increases mutual understanding, enriches individual lives and prepares citizens and students for work in the global environment.

International Affairs pushes students to become creative and innovative thinkers, ultimately preparing them for careers in an ever-changing world. Students often pursue careers in fields such as journalism, government, law, international business, teaching and research.
