Orientation 2009: Passport to UIW
Welcome to the University of the Incarnate Word New Student Orientation Page. New Student Orientation is designed to help you be successful. Orientation is mandatory for first-time freshmen and recommended for transfer students to UIW.
Your UIW experience begins here with Orientation 2009: Passport to UIW! Orientation consists of one or two days of activities designed to help familiarize you with the campus and prepare you for fall classes. The program includes advising, registration, academic sessions and many fun activities.

Steps Before Orientation
If you have already been admitted your next steps should include:
- Pay the $200.00 Confirmation fee
- Apply for Financial Assistance
- Fill out the Pre Scheduling Questionnaire
- Send in all official academic transcripts
- Submit AP exam scores and dual credit transcripts
- Select a date to attend Orientation
Meet the Staff
We are committed to providing you the very best orientation experience and are happy to assist you with any needs you may have during your visit. We encourage you to take a few minutes to get acquainted with the group that will be helping you during Orientation.
Parent Orientation
Parents are not required to attend the Parent Orientation, however it is strongly recommended. The Parent Orientation requires a $25 fee per parent or family member. Parents attending the transfer session may participate in sessions along with their student free of charge.
