Juren Sullivan Center for Fashion Management

Welcome to the Juren Sullivan Center for Fashion Management at the University of the Incarnate Word. One of five departments in the School of Media and Design, the Fashion Management department prepares students with technical and creative skills and industry insight for a world of career opportunities in the fashion business.

Students seeking a future in fashion — whether as designers, marketers, production managers, forecasters or professionals who fuel and move the fashion industry forward — prepare for success today at UIW. Through a combination of theoretical, historical, contextual and design courses, learners become fluent in the significance and evolving nature of fashion, as well as in the practical techniques of design and the business of merchandising, marketing and management.

Fashion students learn from faculty members who are scholars and industry experts. Working closely with students in small classes, they help them hone their techniques and approaches to design and business. As advisors, faculty guide them through their degree program, supporting their academic journeys.

The department also offers immersive opportunities to learn more about this fast-changing and innovative industry, whether in San Antonio or abroad through the Sister School for Fashion program that introduces students to global trends, practices and the international fashion community.

Throughout their years of study, students have many opportunities to connect with their peers and begin developing key industry contacts.
