Portland band brings show to San Antonio

STRFKR, one of the most vibrant and colorful bands I have ever photographed, performed April 9 at the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio.

The band’s show was an immersive experience for the masses, with lasers, confetti, and lust- induced astronauts.

I had not previously been a fan of the band formed in 2007 in Portland, Ore., as a solo project of band member Joshua Hodges. Besides Hodges on vocals, keyboards, guitar, and drums), the group’s current members include Shawn Glassford (bass, keyboards, drums), Keil Corcoran (drums, keyboards, vocals), and Arian Jalali (guitar, keyboards).
