3 p.m. | The Brainpower Connection Schools
The Brainpower Connection is a circle of support, influence and collegiality established in connection with six different institutions, their faculty and students, to share their brainpower. Enjoy performances from the elementary students of St. Anthony Catholic School, Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School.
3:35 p.m. | Reyna Acosta Voice Studio
This event will feature the students of Ariana Reyes Acosta Voice Studio. Her students have earned spots in the Texas all-state choir and plan to continue their studies in music.
4:05 p.m. | Incarnate Word High School Choir
Sing along as the Incarnate Word High School choir sings carols and songs of the season.
4:25 p.m. | St. Anthony Catholic High School
The St. Anthony Catholic High School cheer and dance will join Light the Way to show off their award-winning talent and spirit.
4:45 p.m. | St. Anthony Catholic High School Mariachi
The St. Anthony Catholic High School's Yellow Jackets Mariachi Group will join us and share their gifts in this celebrated art form by performing a variety of songs.
5:10 p.m. | UIW Marching Cardinals
The Pride of UIW—the Marching Cardinals Band!
5:55 p.m. | Mariachi Cardenal
Mariachi Cardenal began in 2023 when a group of talented and passionate students met to rehearse the music they loved, mariachi. The ensemble is led and directed by Gabriel Perez.
6:30 p.m. | Lighting Ceremony
UIW President Thomas M. Evans and honored guests flip the switch to illuminate the lights throughout the campus.
6:45 p.m. | UIW Cheer and Dance Team
University Ambassadors of Spirit and Pride and the Cheer and Dance Teams will perform routines guaranteed to tap your toes.
7:05 p.m. | University of the Incarnate Word Choral and Cardinal Singers
Bringing their harmonious tones to Light the Way, come hear the UIW Choral and Cardinal Singers perform songs of the season.
7:25 p.m. | Abel E. Pedraza
Enjoy songs of the season by Abel E. Pedraza, a UIW student.
7:45 p.m. | Mi Mexico Ballet Folklorico
Directed by UIW student Kerany Barrera, Mi Mexico embodies the rich traditions of San Antonio through this cherished dance.
8:05 p.m. | Indoor Desert
Indoor Desert, an outfit of San Antonio natives, aims to celebrate music across multiple genres during energetic and crowd-centered performances. Their original works dig deep into their Americana roots, while also leaning into influences from all across the musical landscape.
9:00 p.m. | Fireworks Finale
The evening comes to a close with our traditional fireworks display, made possible by our friends at Spectrum Reach.
