Yesenia joined the University of the Incarnate Word in 2016 as the Costume Shop Supervisor, where she oversees costume construction for UIW theatre productions and mentor students in the technical and aspects of costume design.

 Originally from Lima, Peru, Yesenia holds a degree in Fashion Design and continued her studies in Costume Design and Construction at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with renowned designers on theatrical and film productions, while also teaching garment construction and pattern making at several institutions in Lima.

Her freelance design and costume construction credits include productions with The Magik Theatre, The classic Theatre of San Antonio, San Antonio youth ballet, Ballet Austin, Ballet Idaho, Theatre Nohgaku, etc.
