She takes particular pride in mentoring undergraduate students and providing guidance to those considering graduate-level education.
In addition to her academic role, Dr. Fernandez advocates for victims of domestic violence through her work as a Research Advisor for the Springfield Domestic Violence Coalition (SDVC), where she contributes her expertise to support justice-driven community initiatives.
