Sustainability Studies Electives

The Sustainability Studies concentration was created with climate and environmental justice in mind, and with an awareness that there can be no environmental justice without racial, social and economic justice.
For this reason, the Concentration was built around the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals , which are internationally accepted standards for sustainable practices that acknowledge that racial, social and economic justice intersect with environmental and climate justice.
For information about how the UIW Sustainability Advisory Board is fostering a sustainable campus, read the UIW Annual Sustainability Report 2024 (pdf) .
