

SAN ANTONIO – Ninety-two students in the H-E-B School of Business and Administration were honored for their academic achievements at a special ceremony on Sunday, April 9, 2017, in the Rosenberg Sky Room.
The event combined the induction ceremonies for the Delta Mu Delta and Upsilon Phi Delta honor societies, as well as the Honors Convocation.
The Honors Convocation recognizes students in the H-E-B School of Business and Administration for their outstanding efforts. A total of 23 students received recognition in 2017.
Delta Mu Delta is a national business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students. Sixty-two students were inducted into the society's Theta Gamma Chapter at Sunday’s ceremony. Click here to learn more about Delta Mu Delta at UIW.
The Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society exists to recognize, reward and encourage academic excellence in the study of healthcare management and policy. Seven HEBSBA students were inducted into the society's UIW chapter on Sunday.
Over 200 people attended the ceremony, including friends and family of the students, as well as members of the HEBSBA faculty, staff and administration.
Roberto Espinosa, a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual, was the guest speaker for the event. Espinosa is the business and estate planning specialist and government relations delegate for the region. He is also an honorary member of Delta Mu Delta.
