Bequests are a powerful way to support the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) and leave a lasting legacy. When you include UIW in your will, you're not only making a meaningful contribution but also potentially receiving estate tax benefits.

You might consider adding the following sentence to the end of your bequest provision:
"If, at the time this bequest becomes effective, the funds are not needed for this purpose, then the Board of Trustees may direct the funds to be used for a purpose as closely related as possible to the original purpose described in this provision."
