Lisette Chavez was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, located on the southernmost tip of Texas near the Mexican border. She is a multi-disciplinary artist with interests in lithography, drawing, and installation-based work. Chavez earned her Master of Arts degree at Texas A&M University—Corpus Christi and Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Arizona. Her work is held in museums, universities, and private collections. She has exhibited nationally and internationally in Estonia, France, Egypt, Australia, and Mexico.
