Master Navajo Weaver to Visit UIW
Beverly Allen, master Navajo weaver, will visit UIW March 20-22. She will be available to speak to classes on a range of topics including “Women in Navajo Society,” “The Role of Weaving in Cultural Sustainability,” and “Wool Processing, Spinning, and Weaving.” She will also demonstrate weaving on Dubuis Lawn or in the Joyce Building foyer in case of rain.
