Welcome to the University of the Incarnate Word! The Office of International Student and Scholar Services is here to help you navigate the US and find your place here at UIW. We host on and off-campus events for international students and work with the UIW and San Antonio community to help you make the most of your time in the US. We are also your number one resource for US federal immigration information as related to your student immigration status.

• Act a liaison between other UIW offices and international student needs.

Mission:

International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) provides support to international students, visiting scholars and exchange students in matters related to their non-immigrant status by complying with immigration rules and federal regulations. ISSS advisors know the demands connected with studying in another country and they support the education, social, and cultural dimension of international education at the University of the Incarnate Word.
