In this endeavor, the vice president is assisted by the Alumni Relations Office, the Development Office, and the Foundation and Corporate Relations Office. Division offices provide direction for all campus-sponsored and fundraising projects. Student organizations are strongly encouraged to contact the vice president for advice and assistance.

Planned Giving helps donors make a gift to UIW both now and in the future through various giving options that can bring immediate and deferred tax advantages to the donor and his heirs while also having a meaningful impact on UIW. Brittany Sharnsky, Director of Annual Giving
Dorothy Hemphill, Stewardship and Gifts Coordinator

The Annual Giving Office is responsible for conducting fund-raising campaigns and special events to support the Annual Fund for the University of the Incarnate Word.

Monies raised through the Annual Fund help to make up the difference between student tuition (which covers approximately 68%) and the total cost of education at the University of the Incarnate Word. The Annual Fund provides monetary support for student scholarships, academic divisions, library and computer resources, academic and student services, and campus ministry and counseling programs. The Associates Campaign (for gifts of $1,000 or more) is a major program of the Annual Fund.

Another annual event, the Swing-In Golf Tournament and Auction Dinner, also supports scholarships as well as athletic programs and equipment. The Annual Giving Office also coordinates the Annual Employee Campaign and pursues funding for endowed student scholarships and endowed professorial chairs.

The Foundation and Corporate Relations Office currently is pursuing funding for a variety of projects and programs at Incarnate Word, including renovation and expansion of the Science Hall, Communication Arts technology and scholarships, and several international initiatives in Asia and Central and South America.
