Lale Asik, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor, Mathematics

Dr. Lale Asik completed her Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, in May 2020. She also earned a master's degree in mathematics education from Marmara University, Turkey, in May 2009.

Her research interests are Mathematical Modeling, Applied Dynamical Systems, Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations, Population Dynamics, Theoretical Ecology and Epidemiology. She has middle school, high school and college teaching experience.

She has papers published in various journals and presentations at many conferences and workshops.

Dr. Asik has programming experience in MATLAB, XPP/ XPPAUT, Maple, Mathematica, Python and R.

She is affiliated with multiple professional organizations.
