Cardinal Clinic at UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine

Back-to-school vaccines are offered through the Cardinal Clinic at the UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM). The Cardinal Clinic is an interprofessional collaboration between the Ila Faye School of Nursing and Health Professions, the Feik School of Pharmacy, and the UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine. Currently, the Cardinal Clinic is offering back-to-school immunizations by appointment only on Saturdays. Make an appointment by using the button on the left.

Important Notice

All individuals entering the Cardinal Clinic must wear a face mask, use hand sanitizer, have their temperature measured, and be free of COVID-19 signs or symptoms for at least 14 days leading up to the appointment

Services

Immunizations are by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

The Cardinal Clinic provides no cost vaccinations to low income families of San Antonio and the surrounding area. Vaccines are offered through the Texas Vaccines for Children program. To qualify for services at the Cardinal Clinic, a child must be between 4 – 18 years of age and fall into one of the following categories:

  • Child is covered under Medicaid or CHIP.
  • Child has no health insurance.
  • Child’s insurance does not cover immunizations.
  • Child is an Alaskan Native/American Indian.
