Ph.D. in Economics, Leicester University, England
I completed my education in England. I have international and inter-faith background.
I am an Economist dedicated to economics, peace and good governance. I teach university-level economics classes with large groups of international students. I am, therefore, in a unique position to reach a diverse group of international students. I use this privileged position to facilitate positive changes among young minds―and thereby plant seeds of peace.
I constantly question myself with, "What new peace initiative can I start in my own classes?"
"How can I challenge these young minds to become active peace promoters?"
My new project involves putting peace into economics curriculum. I have recently created a new Certificate Program in “Economics, Peace & Conflict Resolution.”
My volunteer work targets local animal shelters. I am an active participant for animal rescue in San Antonio.
In addition to my home town, whenever I travel (the US or abroad), I always find time for the local shelter(s) where I visit for personal holiday or business travel.
I have volunteered at animal shelters in, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Miami, Pittsburgh, New York, Washington DC., Istanbul, London, Cozumel, Port-au-Prince, Vevey and Vienna.
As Mahatma Gandhi said, “The greatness of a neighborhood can be measured by how it treats animals.”
